Agios Nikolas Church, Petalidi, Greece

Agios Nikolas Church
Petalidi, Greece
A beautiful St. Nicholas Church...
And summertime magic!
What could be better?
Notice the Priest with his umbrella to protect him from the hot sun...
He had just finished talking so sweetly to the little girl and her mother.
 The entrance
Full view with belfry and side porch
Cafe across the street on the peaceful waterfront
Much appreciated clouds filling the sky above the church
Geometric proportions
And a little bit of Grecian blue in the sky above too!
Happy summer!

Hi Ann,

The church is wonderful and it looks like it is situated in the most amazing place. Love the little cafe on the waterfront and the gorgeous white clouds against the Grecian blue sky.

Happy week
Carolyn

I've been on a reading binge of classical Greek history. Of course that was before the Christian Era. Perhaps I needed a reminder, because about all the flak being place on this beautiful country over the Euro crises that it along with Rome, and Christianity is on of the foundations of Western Civilization....

Hi Ann, a lovely series of photos. This Greek church is fabulous as are your shots of it. Whenever I see any movies or photos of Greece it reminds me that I promised myself a visit there many years ago. I hope I get there one day.

That is a good idea for a blog. Collecting St Nicholas' Churches. This one is especially geometric. Your shots are great.
